1. User responsibility

Users are responsible for the content they upload or submit to SoundScout.

You must only upload music, artwork, images, names, text, samples, beats, vocals, recordings, comments, tags, and other material that you own or have permission to use.

Do not upload content that infringes someone else's copyright, neighbouring rights, performer rights, publishing rights, master recording rights, trademark rights, privacy rights, image rights or other legal rights.

2. Artist uploads

If you upload music to SoundScout, you confirm that:

  • You own the content or have permission to use it

  • Your upload does not infringe third-party rights
  • Any samples, beats, vocals, artwork or other third-party elements are properly cleared
  • You are not violating any agreement with a label, distributor, publisher, collaborator, producer, manager or other rights holder

5. What we may do after receiving a report

After receiving a copyright or rights complaint, we may:

  • Review the reported content

  • Suspend or terminate repeat infringer accounts
  • Keep records of the complaint
  • Take any other action we consider appropriate

We may review the matter but are not required to restore content if we believe it creates legal risk or breaches our Terms of Service.

7. Repeat infringement

SoundScout may suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly upload infringing content or receive credible infringement complaints.

8. No legal determination

SoundScout may remove or restrict content to reduce risk, protect rights holders or enforce our Terms. This does not mean SoundScout has made a final legal determination about ownership or infringement.
